The green leaves edged with white emerge in mid spring and are followed by small white pendulous flowers tipped with pale green. The flowers are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies. The foliage is attractive all season and can be used effectively in flower arrangements. A singe plant grows into a sizable clump by its second year.
